Biography
"alongside superstar DJ Sash!... ...highest profile venues in Essex"
DJ Dlearious grew up and still lives in Colchester, Essex. He entered the music scene when he was 16. The first album he purchased was by 2Unlimited. From this and various other dance albums / compilations he made a natural progression into commercial dance music and RnB. When Dlearious was 18 his musical direction changed into a more underground dance scene from where he found himself listening to various types of house music such as dirty, funky and electro as well as hard dance, trance and hardcore. However as time progressed, DJ Dlearious realised the importance of being able to mix mainstream music as well as the classic tunes from the 60’s right the way up to modern day music. DJ Dlearious now mixes all genres of music from garage to indie, hip-hop to dance and from 70's to motown.
Dlearious started DJing in 2004 using professional DJ software and a state of the art (at the time) DJ MIDI controller manufactured by Hercules. He now uses the specialist Vestax VCI-300 controller and timecoded CD's using pioneer CDJ’s in the larger bars and clubs.
Some of the highlights in his DJ career include performing a dirty house set for Kiss 105-108, performing a dance set alongside superstar DJ Sash!, playing alongside Hed Kandi, performing for Student Traffic UK and headlining the House of Dance UK tour.
In 2007 he started his first online radio show "Sunday Session" which was hosted on a web based server for two hours a week 1800 - 2000 GMT. Listeners could request songs and shout outs which he would play during the 2 hour live mix session. In 2008 the popularity of the radio show grew and the online web server could no longer handle the number of listeners. Due to this, Sunday Session was migrated to the houseofdance.net community which runs a 24/7 radio station to thousands of listeners worldwide and broadcasts on radio stations across Holland. Sunday Session has grown since the migration and is continuing to grow. 2007 also saw the formation of DJ Dlearious’ mobile disco service which sees DJ Dlearious perform at an array of different venues in and around Essex for functions such as weddings, birthdays and corporate events. 2008 also saw DJ Dlearious' popularity explode onto the commercial DJ scene by obtaining weekly residencies for the University of Essex, performing at the Hippodrome Colchester (Now Liquid Colchester) and performing as the main event for the launch party of the UCS bar in Ipswich.
